Location - Mumbai, India
Worli Koliwada is located at the northern end of Worli, one of the seven original islands of Mumbai. In Mumbai, there are almost 40 koliwads - fishing villages - many of which are at risk due to a steady decrease in annual fishing and competitive development interests. Land in the city is considered as the most valuable resource, it can be only a matter of the time to replace Worli Koliwada with some more profitable ventures. The village was sent a notification from the Slum Rehabilitation Authority in 2015 about declaring 22 plots as slums and this is the first step to obtaining land for future development.
